Infertility Is A Disease

The time has come to shed some truth that infertility is a disease. Both the CDC(Centers For Disease Control - Department of Health and Human Services) and ASRM (American Society of Reproductive Medicine) classify inferttility as a disease.

These are recognized bodies and the CDC comes under the control of a Federal Department (Department of Health and Human services). So a commenter from a previous post and at least one Minnesota State representative need to learn the facts.
I don't want to spund mean but to think that infertility is not a disease is wrong and not factual.

We're not making this up. We believe if a federal department that is responsible for our countries health, considers infertility a disease then it's a fact and not made up mumble jumble.

One Minnesota representative that we met with this week said that he "wasn't convinced infertility is a disease....it's natural selection...some people just aren't meant to be parents". We should have seen that ignorant comment coming. So I decided to go to both the CDC's website and ASRM's to provide factual information to our readers.

I'm not going to rehash their statements or their definitions of infertility. Instead I' going to provide you with links so that you can see for yourself:
CDC
ASRM

It can't be disputed. Infertility is a DISEASE and is defined as a disease by our FEDERAL GOVERNMENT.

So then it's logical that if infertility is a disease, then it should be covered by insurance.
